The History of Bare It Designs

The History of Bare It Designs

From as far as she could remember, Jo had always wanted to create and share fun and cool designs with others. She began with notebook doodles and then moved onto computer illustrations and designs. As a self taught designer, Jo is always looking for the next source of inspiration and loves to sit and talk with other about their creations.

With Jo's vision she started Bare It version 1.0 in 2011 with her home studio single coloured screen printing machine.  Jo had to rely on her wit and quirkiness to compete against other designers with much more advanced print methods.  Of course Jo could've worked with printing production partners, she wanted to keep true to the handmade with love movement and wanted to have her hands on every step of production and quality control (minus the actual manufacturing of the clothing)!

Fast forward 7 years later, Bare It Designs version 2.0, Jo has taken the next step to bringing her illustrations to the next level in color!  And time to introduce the newest member to our Bare It Designs family - Roland TruVIS SG-300. Roli (as dubbed by us here), was ready, willing, and able to start bringing Jo's illustrations to life giving them all a new dimension of cuteness and opening up a new world of products to offer you!  To this day, Jo still has her hands on every step of creating her products (except for her magnets and enamel pins, that's just too much for her & Roli)!  Jo still gets excited and the warm and fuzzies when people purchase and compliment her designs.

With this modest success from a part time passion, Jo is far from done!  What's the next step for Jo and Bare It Designs, who knows?  But stay tuned as she'll be designing until you tell her to stop!
